If the state of your insurance sales is frustrating you and you’re after much better stats in the next couple of weeks or months, then you’ve got to roll up your sleeves and put some work into a new insurance marketing or sales tactic. One of the areas which a lot of insurance agents, unfortunately, miss out on is email. Yes, you heard right, email. Such a simple technique to work on that it’s a letdown for you as an insurance agent to not have a proper email campaign.
An email campaign is meant to do things, obviously tell your prospects about the services that you’re offering while at the same time make sure they are geared towards getting an insurance plan from you. Email is the first step to generate a sale so make sure you create emails designed to really get your leads ready to buy.
One of the things that make email so easy is that you can create mailing lists. Mailing lists should be specific to the insurance leads that you’re targeting. For example, if you want to target Medicare leads, make sure that you have a mailing list of senior leads on your CRM so that you can reach all of them in one email blast.
Personalizing an email is another important technique. No one likes to be treated like a sale, least of all your insurance leads. Something that you can do to make them feel special is to send them email greeting cards. This may sound funny to you but getting a greeting on your birthday or during the holidays makes anyone feel special and as any good businessperson knows making someone feel special is a step closer to a sale.
Lastly, make sure you send relevant emails. Don’t send a promotion for senior health insurance leads to someone who doesn’t qualify for that promotion. This will just irritate leads and will be a spot in the black book for you.
